Brasstown bald is the highest point in Georgia surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest. The sheer beauty of the night sky views here are just incredible. 4783 ft above sea level and you are standing closer to the stars. The night was moist and sky was filled with occasional shooting stars from the Orion’s belt. I’d setup for timelapse facing southeast where the Milky way appeared as a bright glowing band across the night sky. After several hours the cold winds had taken a toll on me. I stood there watching the Milky way as it played hide and seek behind the drifting clouds.
