While the milky way season was all but gone here in the northern hemisphere except for the faint band that will continue to show up in the night sky as we transition from summer to fall season. Last night at Brasstown bald was incredible. It fascinated me how all the shooting stars appeared to fill the night sky into a work of art. God’s own perhaps! I was also surprised to see a lot of people hiking up the bald at midnight to watch the Orionid Meteor shower. And it’s true that Brasstown bald observatory tower has a movie-screen window to the milky way.
