Milky way season is the best time of the year. And it is here finally! At night, earth will be facing the center of the Milky way galaxy and I was deliriously happy to make my first image of the season. I had setup my tracker for motion timelapse and I stood there all excited thinking about all the adventures I want to have this Milky way season. An hour passed. Then two. Then the crescent moon rose gleaming in all its silver glory. It seemed like eternity!

Single exposure image, shot with Nikon D810 using Nikkor 14mm-24mm at 14mm; exposure 15 sec; f/2.8 at ISO 8000.
