Vogel state park is located at the base of Blood Mountain which is my favorite in Chattahoochee National forest. I was here exactly a year ago, watching in childlike wonderment the reflection of mountains on the lake. It was misty and the mountains stood breathing the crisp spring air. Yet again, I found myself at Vogel last night, wearing heart on my sleeve, to photograph the milky way. The mountains were lit in silvery glow of the crescent Moon and the serene lake, as black as night, reflected thousands of glittering stars as if it were a sea of stars. Then magic happened by the holy lake when Milky way came swinging by.
