Where Two Rivers Meet!
At Zion National Park, somewhere near the canyon junction where many tripods stood, there's a time when the virgin river perfectly aligns with the celestial river. Not the heavenly river of Eridanus but the Milky way band you often see during the summer nights with its galactic core hanging over the horizon. And the iconic sight of The watching standing by the shore blessing this ethereal union. Virgin River is so extraordinary at night.
I was fortunate to witness this incredible sight in August last year. It was also the night of the Perseid Meteor shower. Sadly it was a bummer this year because of the big bright moon. I don't blame the moon!
